Five Chapters, One Forever

Our Story

A slow love, told the way it was lived — in chapters, in cities, in small ordinary mornings that turned out to be the whole point.

An Unscripted Beginning

Chapter I

An Unscripted Beginning

March 2019 · Notting Hill, London

It was the kind of evening London does best — rain-soft, fairy-lit, full of borrowed laughter. A friend's rooftop party, a borrowed umbrella, and a girl who laughed like she meant it.

Hrithik wasn't planning to stay. Anjali wasn't planning to talk to anyone new. But when the rain came in sideways, he offered the umbrella, and she offered three more hours of conversation. The party ended without them noticing.

By the time the last bus rumbled past, the city felt smaller — and somehow infinitely larger. They walked the long way home. Neither of them said the word love. Both of them already knew.

The Conversation That Never Ended

Chapter II

The Conversation That Never Ended

July 2019 · Hampstead Heath

Three hours became a full afternoon. A blanket on the grass, two warm flat whites, and the kind of conversation that maps you completely: favourite books, childhood streets, the songs that still hurt.

He told her about his grandmother's kitchen in Pune. She told him about the summer she stopped writing and the autumn she started again. They argued, gently, about Murakami. They agreed, completely, about Lorde.

By the time the streetlights came on, they were no longer strangers — only two people pretending not to be in love yet.

The First Real Date

Chapter III

The First Real Date

October 2019 · Borough Market

Cinnamon doughnuts. A shared glass of red. A museum they paid for and never entered because the queue for the bookshop next door was more interesting.

Somewhere between the Thames and the last tube, he held her hand for the first time. Quietly. Without ceremony. Like he had been waiting his whole life to and didn't want to draw attention to a thing as quiet and important as this.

A Quiet Forever

Chapter IV

A Quiet Forever

December 2022 · The Lake District

A cottage with a fireplace that took an hour to start. Snow falling without sound. A walk that turned back at the lake because her hands were cold and his pockets weren't deep enough for both.

He didn't kneel. He just turned, took her hand, and asked. She said yes before he finished the question. Outside, the lake held the sky like a secret. Inside, the kettle clicked off and neither of them moved to pour the tea.

The Beginning of Always

Chapter V

The Beginning of Always

Spring 2026 · The Cotswolds

Gold rings. A garden in May bloom. Both families weeping in the best possible way. Their first dance lasted one song and a whole lifetime.

The vows were short. The promise underneath them was endless. And when the last guest finally left and the fairy lights stayed on for them alone, they sat on the stone steps with cake on a single plate and laughed about how the rain held off after all.
